Board 1

Cutting Boards fail for two reasons: poor manufacturing and improper care. Proper care is easy by following these simple tips.

  • Keep your wooden cutting board clean and dry.
  • Hand-wash only. Do not clean your cutting board in a dishwasher. Do not soak your cutting board in water or cleaning liquids.
  • Clean immediately after each use.
  • As needed (we recommend annually) gently re-sand your board with a 300-grit sandpaper.
  • Do not use steel wool to re-sand your board as metal may become lodged in the wood and end up in your food.
  • After sanding, re-oil with an oil specific for wooden boards used for food. Only rub in enough oil that the wood will immediately absorb. Never leave a wet film of oil on the board.
